Digital Cytology
Cytology has long contributed to reducing cancer mortality, for example in cervical cancer screening. However, it requires manual microscopy of a large number of slides, posing workforce and quality-control challenges.
With CYBO Scan, we collect large-scale, high-resolution 3D cellular images and advance AI methods built on these data. We are driving the real-world deployment of these technologies to improve the quality of early cancer screening, including cervical screening.

AI cytology
Although cytology is minimally invasive and widely used in cancer screening, the 3D structure of specimens has made digitization difficult, limiting telepathology and AI adoption.
We established technology to accurately digitize cytology specimens and productized it as CYBO Scan and CYBO View. This enables remote consultation and conferencing, and facilitates AI applications.

Platelet activation assay
If platelet activation in blood can be measured reliably, it may serve as an early biomarker for atherothrombotic diseases such as stroke and myocardial infarction. However, technical barriers have hindered practical adoption.
We are tackling this challenge by combining high-speed imaging with AI. Once established, the technology could help identify at-risk populations earlier and support timely intervention, contributing to preventive healthcare.
Projects

Quality Policy
We provide products and services to help customers learn more about cells and utilize them more widely. We have established the following items as our quality policy and work to achieve them.
We identify true needs through in-depth communication with customers, and propose and provide products that exceed customer expectations.
We will not be satisfied with the status quo, but will continue to pursue the improvement of the quality of all business processes, which will lead to customer satisfaction and improvement in the quality of our products and services.
In order to realize the quality policy, each department will set quality targets and systematically work on quality management to achieve the targets.
We comply with laws and regulations and provide products and services that customers can use without concerns.

Company Profile

Humanity has long harnessed the power of cells—the fundamental units of life—across domains such as food, healthcare, energy, and the environment. If we can further unlock this potential, we can make the world even better.
We fully leverage advanced technologies, including high-speed imaging and AI, to “measure cells properly,” enabling smarter use of cellular information. We are bringing these technologies into clinical practice, starting with testing and diagnosis—reducing the burden on healthcare professionals, improving diagnostic accuracy, and ultimately raising the quality of care.
In parallel, we are building a large-scale data foundation—a “dictionary of cells”—by precisely measuring diverse cell populations. Our goal is to create a platform that advances not only medicine but also basic research and fields such as environment and energy. By applying technology and ingenuity to illuminate cells—the foundation of life—we strive to help build a better society.
